The PhD School has been founded with the explicit purpose of coordinating the doctoral research within STI Innsbruck and monitoring the overall operation of the process. As part of its activities, the PhD School organizes the bi-weekly "Research Seminar" and an annual "PhD Seminar", as well the systematic scientific progress reporting task on a six-monthly basis.

STI Innsbruck PhD Seminars

  • The PhD Seminar 2009 will be organized together with STI Berlin and the EU IP LarKC in September, 2009 in Berlin. More information about the event is available here.
  • The PhD Seminar 2008 was organized together with our colleagues from AIFB Karlsruhe in November, 2008. More information about the event is available here.

  • The PhD Seminar 2007 was a joint event between STI Innsbruck and the Business Informatics Group at TUW. The seminar took place in Vienna, 20.9.2007/21.9.2007 at the Vienna University of Technology (TUW). Venue information is available at www.studyguide.at.

  • The 1st PhD Seminar 2006 was held in Innsbruck. The seminar was targeted at PhD students whose research interests cover the Semantic Web and Web Service areas. It helped the students concretize their research intentions and to receive feedback on the soundness and completeness of their achieved work.
